The customs of Vietnamese weddings are very complex and symbolic. Relationship is an alliance between people, not just an agreement between two people, which is where its value lies. Additionally, the meeting is one of the family’s most divine occasions because it is devoted to recognizing grandparents and relatives. In the past, it was typical for women to wear pale Ao dai while gentlemen wore ebony ones. Men can now choose to don a tuxedo rather than the customary Aotac.
